Intensive Outpatient Program
A Program Built for Lasting Change
Immersion Care's IOP is a structured, clinically rigorous program that addresses the full complexity of trauma and addiction — through evidence-based therapy, faith integration, and whole-person support.
Program Overview
What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a higher level of care than traditional weekly therapy, without requiring residential admission. Participants attend structured sessions multiple days per week, allowing them to remain in their home environment while receiving intensive clinical support.
Immersion Care's IOP is designed for adults navigating complex trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our program combines the clinical depth of inpatient care with the flexibility and community integration of outpatient treatment.

What to Expect Each Session
Opening
Community Check-In
Each session begins with a grounding practice — mindfulness, breathwork, or a brief devotional — followed by a group check-in to set intentions for the day.
Core
Group Therapy
Facilitated by a licensed therapist, group sessions address trauma processing, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills using evidence-based modalities.
Focused
Psychoeducation & Skills
Structured curriculum covering topics such as the neuroscience of trauma, DBT skills, grief and loss, boundaries, and faith-based resilience practices.
Closing
Integration & Reflection
Sessions close with individual reflection, journaling, or paired processing — reinforcing the day's learning and preparing participants for the time between sessions.
“Healing happens in community.”
Treatment Modalities
Evidence-Based Therapies at the Core
Every modality used at Immersion Care is supported by clinical research and delivered by licensed professionals trained in trauma-informed care.
TF-CBT
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
A structured, evidence-based approach that helps participants identify and reframe distorted thought patterns rooted in traumatic experiences. TF-CBT reduces PTSD symptoms, depression, and anxiety while building coping skills.
Used for: Complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess distressing memories that have become "stuck." Clinically proven to reduce the emotional charge of traumatic memories and restore adaptive functioning.
Used for: Trauma, PTSD, phobias, grief
DBT
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
DBT teaches four core skill sets — mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness — that are essential for individuals managing intense emotions and relational difficulties.
Used for: Emotional dysregulation, self-harm, substance use, BPD
MI
Motivational Interviewing
A collaborative, person-centered counseling approach that strengthens an individual's own motivation and commitment to change. Particularly effective in the early stages of recovery.
Used for: Substance use, ambivalence, behavior change
CPT
Cognitive Processing Therapy
CPT helps participants examine and challenge unhelpful beliefs that developed as a result of trauma — particularly around safety, trust, power, esteem, and intimacy.
Used for: PTSD, sexual trauma, moral injury
Faith
Faith-Integrated Care
Biblical truths about identity, healing, forgiveness, and redemption are woven throughout the clinical work. Pastoral counseling, scripture reflection, and prayer are offered as integral components — not add-ons.
Used for: Spiritual wounds, identity, meaning-making, hope
